The Miss America organization has partnered heavily to support the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. They are a network of children's hospitals throughout America that take the toughest cases that other children's hospitals can't handle. My short PSA talks a bit about what they do. Please take a moment to watch it.
Gillette Children's Hospital in St. Paul is the Minnesota hospital in their network. They treat children from all communities, and they also have fundraisers to support their patients with things they might not be otherwise able to afford that enhance their quality of life, such as adaptive bikes.
When I was in kindergarten, I had a friend who ate and drank through a hole and tube in her throat. And as a young child, I had a friend who succumbed to a rare form of ALS. It's kids like these who the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals work so hard to support.
Miss America organization titleholders work very hard to raise money and support this worthy cause.
